The Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) will host the Minority Business Conference, a two-day premier event for growth-oriented minority businesses to connect with buyers and key decision-makers. The conference will take place May 22-23, 2024, at the Levan |NSU Broward Center of Innovation in Davie, Florida.

As the largest annual event held by Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council, the Minority Business Conference draws business leaders from across Florida and the nation. This year’s theme, “Connect.Collaborate.Succeed,” will focus the conference on powering up business goals, with special emphasis on technology and supplier diversity programming. The agenda consists of power-packed sessions, business consultations and one-on-one appointments between minority-owned businesses and buyers.

“The Minority Business Conference is designed to position minority-owned businesses at all stages of development for greater success, and to provide corporations, government agencies, educational institutions and healthcare organizations with information about business opportunities and supplier diversity,” says FSMSDC President and CEO Beatrice Louissaint.

Conference highlights will include keynote speaker Travis Montaque, CEO and co-founder of Group Black, an MBE-certified media company dedicated to connecting brands with diverse audiences. Also, he is the CEO and founder of Holler, a messaging technology and conversational media company.

The Minority Business Conference is an ideal opportunity for minority entrepreneurs to connect with purchasing agents from government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. Top-level sponsors include The Walt Disney Company, Florida Blue, Truist, Duke Energy, Florida Power & Light Company, NextEra, The Office Depot Corporation, MasTec, Vistra Communications, Jackson Health System, and more.

Workshops will include cybersecurity and AI strategy sessions, Supplier Diversity Roundtables, the MasterClass: My Story Is Only True in America™, and sessions on opportunities in growth industries. There also will be one-on-one appointments with procurement organizations and a new Health & Wellness Zone sponsored by Florida Blue.
