H. J. Russell & Company Welcomes Kevin Johnson as Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Enablement

H. J. Russell & Company (Russell) has named Kevin Johnson as its Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Enablement. In this executive leadership role, Johnson leads the company’s marketing and brand strategy, reporting directly to Michael B. Russell, CEO, Russell. With more than 20 years of experience in creative marketing leadership across construction and economic development sectors, Johnson brings a unique blend of innovation, analytics, and storytelling to this position.

Johnson is responsible for managing and guiding all aspects of Russell’s marketing and communications strategy, focusing on enhancing brand visibility, driving strategic content creation, and aligning marketing efforts with business development goals. He leads the internal marketing team and works closely with executive leadership to shape the company’s voice within the industry.

“I’m excited to leverage our strengths, amplify our message, and build meaningful connections with clients, partners, and stakeholders,” says Johnson. “I look forward to driving innovative marketing initiatives and contributing to the continued success and growth of the company.”

With a background rooted in both strategy and design, Johnson’s expertise includes account-based marketing (ABM), digital campaign development, brand architecture, and sales enablement. He is also known for his collaborative leadership style, mentoring teams, and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and results.

As Senior Director of Marketing and Sales Enablement, Johnson is responsible for managing brand implementation, managing media and public relations efforts, developing lead content and proposals, and collaborating across departments to ensure consistency in messaging and positioning. His work supports Russell’s construction, real estate development, and program management divisions nationwide.

Originally from Atlanta, Johnson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts and Animation from The Art Institute of Atlanta and has received advanced training in economic development and leadership. He is also deeply committed to community impact and has held leadership roles in regional economic development associations, offering his expertise to elevate local and regional initiatives.
